This week I’m adding a new regular blog feature: Time on Tuesday. Time has suddenly become a major plot point in PHOEBE FOGG AND THE LOST LIBRARY. I’ve also noticed that time is something people in our society obsess about a lot: there’s never enough time, we all wish we had more time. You get the picture.
I invite you to explore time elements with me here each Tuesday. We’ll start with Big Ben.
The quintissential London establishment shot. It appears in everything from Peter Pan book covers to the opening of Sherlock. Parliment has a great page here detailing Big Ben’s history of more than 150 years.
Here’s what author Annie Dillard has to say about time:
How we spend our days is how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour and with that one, is what we are doing.
I challenge you to spend some time creating today. Writing, drawing, painting, cooking, wherever your passion lies, make time for it!
I’d love to hear about it.
